From French-style brasseries to traditional Irish pubs, South Tipperary’s restaurants offer something for every taste. Many are strategically located to enjoy views of the mountain ranges or historic landmarks that characterise our county – such as Legends, at the foot of the Rock of Cashel, and Weavers, in the heritage square at Carrick-on-Suir. Check online to find a place to suit your taste and budget – you can always find somewhere to eat at an affordable price.

The county has a long tradition of agriculture and the production of foods such as farmhouse cheeses, apples and honey. These traditional arts are still maintained and celebrated; the association for South Tipperary Bee Keepers holds an annual honey festival in Clonmel. Bulmers Cider, Cashel Blue and Crozier Blue are some of the region’s most famous specialities. To taste the rest, you’ll have to visit one of our traditional Farmer’s Markets, which are held weekly in every major town.
